The clinic took place from 28-31 May during the Chinese U21 Basketball Championship held in Wangzhou District, Chongqing.
A total of 14 FIBA Game Officials took part in the four-day program made possible in cooperation with the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
Mr. Yao Ming, President of CBA, expressed his gratitude to the Regional Office for staging the clinic.
"The federation would like to further strengthen exchanges with FIBA Regional Office Asia and continue to make efforts in the development of professional talents," he said.
"The CBA would also devote to build a first-class, international-standard referee teams and try to contribute to the thrive of the world basketball," Yao furthered.
CBA Referee Commission Director Mr. Ma Lijun also took part in the clinic and sung nothing but praises, believing that they would all benefit from it.
"The combination of the tournament and clinic is of great benefit to the improvement of the professional level of our Chinese referees," he offered.
The clinic has inspired the CBA to build a first-class and international-standard referee teams, and try to contribute to the thrive of world basketball.
These clinics are a continuation of the Regional Office's plans to improve the quality of officiating in the region, which in result will heighten the level of competition.
