MIES (Switzerland) - The referees to officiate games at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which tips off on August 25, have been announced.
For the first time in the history of FIBA's flagship event, three female referees, Amy Bonner, Blanca Burns and Jenna Reneau, have been nominated.
The World Cup, being staged in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, will have 44 referees in total, with representation from all five regions.
The average age is 40.2 years. While the eldest is 51, the youngest is 31.
